Career:
Selected in the 2007 rookie draft, Petrenko was elevated to the senior list in Round 17 2008 in place of injured ruckman Rhett Biglands. He put an interrupted pre-season behind him to hold down a league spot with the Eagles while coming very close to making his AFL debut. He was named as an emergency on four consecutive occasions and was on the verge of making his Crows debut in round 20. The small defender had a solid season in the SANFL after overcoming an off-season shoulder reconstruction to regain his spot in the Woodville-West Torrens line up, playing in the midfield and in defence and featuring regularly in the best.

Career:
Schmidt played five league games for West Adelaide before being drafted in 2006 to Brisbane. A tough run of injuries at Brisbane including a dislocated shoulder and osteitis pubis meant he received limited opportunities. He played just two games in two years with the Lions but was prominent with the Suncoast Lions in the AFLQ.

Guernsey Number: 16
Height 194cm
Weight: 93kg
Recruited From: Woodville-West Torrens (SA)
Debut: 1999
Date of Birth: 29 January 1981
Career:
The big man was again a solid contributor at both ends of the park last year, booting 21 goals despite spending the initial part of the season in defence. A hamstring injury sustained in round 19 virtually ended McGregor’s season, and he shapes as a key target up forward in 2007 in the absence of Trent Hentschel. McGregor was drafted from Woodville-West Torrens as a 17-year-old with the No 75 pick at the 1998 national draft. He made his debut in 1999 and played most of his early games as a forward before being used in defence in 2001 and he has since spent periods at both ends of the ground. In 2005 McGregor started back but then became an important forward, kicking 31 goals – including nine in three finals – and took more contested marks than any other Crow. Last year he had a solid start to the season and polled club champion votes in 15 of the first 16 games. His round 19 hamstring strain came at the wrong time, however, and he missed three games before returning through the SANFL with the Eagles. The Crows selectors could not find a spot for him in the finals but McGregor has vowed to work hard over the pre-season and win back his spot in the 2007 season.

Strong marking ruckman around the ground or up forward. Impressive for Victoria Country in National Bank's AFL U18 Championships this year. His 10.44sec for the 3km time trial at the Draft Camp was super impressive for a ruckman, being in the top 10% overall. From Modewarre FC

Career:
Johncock is entering his eighth season at the club after being a late draft pick (No 67) at the 2000 national draft. From Port Lincoln’s Mallee Park Football Club, Johncock played some SANFL football for Port Adelaide Magpies. He was the club’s leading Goalkicker in 2003 with 30 goals but he has spent a majority of his career in defence. In 2005 he led club champion voting half way through the year but broke his leg and missed a large part of the season. The last few years he has been a part of one of the AFL’s best defensive units. In 2008 he represented the Dream Team in the AFL’s 150th year showpiece game.
